The Body Shop 'Big and Curvy Waterproof Mascara' Review

Holaaaaa, I hope you are doing well and enjoying the summer =)

I don't usually spend a lot of money on make-up, very seldom do I spend over £10 on products for myself but I felt like a change when I went out and bought this as I had tried this mascara when I was at my friend's house and absolutely loved it. Hers was the non-waterproof one though...

I was umming and ahhing over whether or not to get the original one or the waterproof one- as the title gives it away, I went for the waterproof one and now I'm not sure if I made the right decision.

Firstly, nice packaging, I have never purchased The Body Shop eye products before. The original Big and Curvy Mascara is in a pink bottle in case any of you are wondering. The first thing I noticed when I opened this was the oil that came trickling down the tube, it grossed me out a little and had me worried that if I tipped the bottle upside down, oil would come pouring out of it. Thank goodness that didn't happen! (it smells a bit like olive oil....)

The wand is long-ish and has a slight conical shape as it gets a bit thinner towards the tip. I'm not entirely sure if it's a brush or plastic bristle and I know this may sound odd but I find it's kind of a mixture of both.
The formula itself is okay, but it can be VERY clumpy. Clumpy with a capital C. So if clumpiness doesn't butter your toast then I suggest you steer well clear of this mascara. I'm undecided about how much I like this/don't like this...

Here's the result:

It's okay I guess...You can see the little clumps in it! Haha! I personally prefer mascaras that give volume AND lenghth and I don't particularly like the 'seperated lashes' looks, I much prefer fuller looking lashes. There are some drugstore mascaras that are a lot better, I don't think this is worth the £10 price tag.

Any mascara suggestions for a girl who has extremely stubborn lashes that won't curl, stay curled or be volumised easily? xx
