Big Barry M Magnetic Polishes Post
As we all know, I am a big fan of Barry M nail polishes and these magnetic polishes get a big thumbs up from me. I believe they have a selection of different colours but I only picked up three.
The idea of these is that the rectangular plastic bits come off from the bottle. There's a magnet on the top and on one side a curved piece of plastic (to rest on the finger whilst hovering the magnet over the nail). Sorry for the really rubbish picture below but I just wanted to show you what it looked like as the description alone is a bit confusing.
Steps on how to use are as follows:

Steps on how to use are as follows:
1) Use a base coat
2) Apply one coat of the polish and let it dry completely
3) Then paint another coat but then IMMEDIATELY hold the magnet over your nail, using the curved piece of plastic to rest on your finger for steadiness and comfort.
4) Magnet makes the effect
5) Let it dry and apply a top coat
The effect will appear according to the effect that is shown next to the word 'MAGNETIC' you can see on the cap. (See further down).
L-R: 347 Magnetic Multi Sparkle, 329 Magnetic Violet, 328 Magnetic Blue |
-Magnetic Multi Sparkle is a bottle of greyish, silvery gorgeousness. It has what seems to be fine glitters and shimmers embedded in the polish but ACTUALLY, while some are just silvery sparkles, depending on which way they catch the light, they are multi coloured sparkles! How exciting!
-Magnetic Violet is a plum-toned purple. It's almost metallic-y.with very fine gold shimmers running through it.
-Magnetic Blue is as pretty as the other two. It's a very muted cobalt blue, muted by the silver shimmer that gives it a more shimmery, metallic-y look.
This one creates a kind of star effect...or also kind of like a flag. I love this because it's different and eye catching yet still pretty.

This striped one is simple but effective! It shows up so well and instantly jazzes up your nails. So cute!

There may or may not be more different magnetic effects that make different patterns- these are just the ones I saw and grabbed as most places I'd visited had been sold out of these. These polishes are about £5 each if my memory serves me well. Wait for when Boots or Superdrug have their 3 for 2 deals on makeup! Then you can grab a few to mix and match the colours with different patterns/effects! Oh such fun!
