Maybelline's Color Show Polka Dots Nail Polishes

Another cheeky little gift from the BF. He really shouldn't but I shan't complain! These were 3 for 2 from Superdrug I think :) 

When I first saw these in the shop, I thought "COOOOOOOL". I look at them now and think, "COOOOOOOOL". They're not THAT cool in terms of like the whole idea because it's basically just a nail polish with lots of matte and plain coloured polka dot sequin pieces. But the effect looks so (here's that word again) cool. Don't they? Yes, yes they do. Some might find this a little gimmicky but I like them and I think they are so fun. 

L-R: 201 Speckled Pink, 200 Rain Forrest Canopy, 198 Shooting Stars

Speckled pink is my favourite on the nails but Shooting Stars is my favorite to look at in the bottle. I find that it takes 2 (or even 3) coats to get it closer to what it looks like in the bottle. The colours also come out lighter than it looks in the bottle but if you build it up it'll look more like what you can see in the bottle (I'm sorry for saying the word 'bottle' so many times). I think it makes your nails look so darn cute- all speckle-y :)

They dry on the nails pretty quickly, I'd say roughly a minute and they don't chip that easily. I've had it one for 2 days without a top coat and the chipping is very very minor and can only be seen if you examine my finger nails closely- but realistically nobody's going to do that.
