Liebster Award

Since starting my blog, I never anticipated anyone giving and proper attention to my posts and random ramblings, so you can imagine my eyes did a kind of dramatic anime eye-widening when I saw I was nominated for something!

I was recently nominated for something called the Liebster Award by a lovely blogger who goes by the name of Becky in Blue of Teen Reviews blog (check her out here and be sure to follow!. She was nominated by another blogger so if you'd like to read more about it click on the link to her blog.

I guess I'll just follow suit so here it goes!

1) Share 11 things about yourself:

1. I am the eldest sister of 4 girls in my family. There's me, twins sisters who are 15 and the youngest who is 4.

2. I am Chinese- though I am not a very good chinese person

3. I think Spencer from Made in Chelsea is arrogant, a cheat, unfaithful and many other not-very-nice words (no offence to anyone who likes him)

4. I love bubble tea (Google it!) Gimme, gimme, gimme!

5. I love Disney movies and am always shocked when someone says they have not seen _______ (insert a Disney movie). One of my friends had never seen The Little mermaid...can you believe it?! I couldn't! I love it when Ariel brushes her hair with a fork..haha...

6. I love baking and can spend hours on end decorating cupcakes, biscuits etc. My least favourite part is the washing up.

7. I once had a gas fire place explode on my legs (yes, it was one of the most traumatising things that has ever happened to me, never again.)

8. I absolutely adore my grandma, she is my role model and I have admired her since I was little (I remember we used to write stories/poems in primary school about who we admired most, and whilst other kids wrote about David Beckham or popstars, I would always write about my granny <3)

9. I will happily eat watermelon until I burst

10. I already know which piece of music I want to be played as I walk down the aisle on my wedding day

11. I like to claim that I am 'allergic to kiwis'- even thinking about them makes me writhe..ewww

2) Answer the questions your tagger has given you:

1) If you were trapped on a desert island what 3 things would you take and why?

A boat so I could escape? Haha...

- a photo album of my most cherished memories and people because I love my family (so cheesy)

- sunscreen because I wouldn't want to burn.

- some sort of water filter because...well, this is more of a practical thing. I won't want to die of thirst or dehydrate and turn into a raisin.

2) What is the most beautiful song you have ever heard and why?

'What a Wonderful World' by Louis Armstrong because his voice and the song itself combined is like a story being told. I love that it reminds us to cherish the world and what we have.

3) What would you say your best feature/personality trait is?

I am very bubbly, so I am always up for a laugh and I am quite easily amused and that seems to make others laugh. I'm just a bubble of joy! Hahaha, just kidding.

4) Who/what is your biggest inspiration and why?

My grandmother (aka granny, grandma). She is the most wonderful person I know and I have admired her since I was a little girl. She's so kind, generous and loving and I do everything I can to cherish my time with her. She had a tough life, especially her childhood years and entering the married life, but she is happier than ever with all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. My granny is amazing :)

5) What do you want to be when you’re older?

I want to be a more mature, successful and most importantly happy, version of myself.

6) What’s your favourite chocolate bar?

Kit Kat! Does that count as a chocolate bar or a chocolate biscuit? I don't know...but if I had to choose solid chocolate then it would probably have to be a Twirl.

7) Would you rather be rich or happy and why?

I think this is a question that can seriously change people's view on you because some people feel so strongly about one or the other. ANYWAY, I would rather be happy. I have grown up being grateful for what I have and I haven't ever been truly unhappy.

8) What’s your favourite quote?

"Never a mistake, always a lesson."

9) What was the best moment of your life so far and why?

Getting into university because it made my granny so incredibly happy and proud of me :)

10) If you could go back to an era of history where would you go and why?

What's the era when all the girls and women wore like monochrome and more sophisticated/fashionable outfits? It would be around that time.

11) What’s your favourite thing in your wardrobe and why?

Leggings. I am not a fan of trousers so leggings are perfect for me. Unfussy, comfy and they go with everything. It's hard to go wrong with leggings. (Except when you wear leggings like trousers........ and wear a top that is too short to even cover the tiniest bit of your bum)
