Witch- Anti-Blemish BB Beauty Balm
This is the follow-up post from the primer review I did, so let's get stuck in!
Like I mentioned before, until recently, I would at all costs steer away from this kind of thing. I'm just so overly paranoid about products irritating my skin, breaking me out or causing me any grief in general.
If you're not one for wearing make up that makes your face feel all cakey then this is perfect for you- or if you have sensitive skin and you are weary about the kind of makeup you smear over your face. Used in conjunction with the Witch Primer, this is a winning combo for me.
I like that this is in a squeezy tube because I know that by the time I'm nearing the end, I'll want to squeeze every last drop out of it!
This is what it says on the tube:
"Witch's Beauty Balm is ideal for blemish prone skin. It evens out skin tone, smoothes and hydrates whist providing an immediate visible improvement in the appearance of your skin. SPF 12 protects the skin whilst the natural witch hazel helps keep it clear, leaving you looking flawless, radiant and natural."
This stuff hasn't broken me out. nor has it irritated my skin. I feel like it definitely does even out my skin tone and I reckon the witch hazel in it helps keeps spots at bay and treats the skin too. It has a very light scent of witch hazel but only if you stick your nose right up to the tube and give it a good ol' sniff.
I take less than a pea-sized amount on the back of my hand (just like the primer!) so it warms up a little for even easier application, and start working it bit by bit into my skin with my Beauty Blender knock-off sponge (naughty). I dot it around my face and work it into my skin using a mixture of light-pressure dabs and presses and the occasional smear.
At first when the product first goes on, you might think..."this isn't covering up anything!" but trust me, after 2-3 mins, the product becomes one with your skin and starts to work it's magic. For something so light, so easy to apply, it really does give a really nice finish.
Especially for the price of this, the finished look is radiant, not drying or flakey, healthy and just looks near flawless. It's buildable too which is fantastic but I like a bit of my natural skin to show through...you know, for that more natural look.
It completely gives me a 'my skin but better' look which I love. I can't reccomend this enough- it has changed my makeup routine for the better :)
Like my primer, this was purchased at the same local supermarket and shouldn't be too difficult to locate in drugstores. Click here to be transported to the Witch skincare website, see where you can purchase Witch products and to read more about the brand.
