Dirty Works - Power Berry Detox Mask
Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and are ready to take on the start of a new week!
Now, I am usually a lover of sheet masks because compared to clay mask-type masks, they are much less messy and on the whole much easier to use. This is another one of those products which I had discovered and now I don't think I could be without it.
This "Power Berry Detox Mask" is from the 'Dirty Works' range which is available from Sainsbury's. I reckon it'll more likely be in the bigger stores where they have actual beauty aisles as opposed to the Sainsbury's convenient stores.
According to the description it's supposed to draw out impurities, leave the skin glowing and as it says on the tube, detox. You're probably sick of reading products that does everything it says it will on the packaging, but for me, it really does everything it says it will. Maybe that's just me, but I'm not going to complain if a product works super well for me.
The mask itself is green with a clay mask-like consistency. It smooths across the face so very easily, and it only suggests you apply a thin layer- which I think is absolutely perfect- before leaving it for 5-10 minutes to harden and dry up on your face. The smell does have an artificial 'berries' kind of smell but as far as scents go...this could be much more offensive. It's quite sweet at first but you kind of get used to it.
Even with a thin layer, I usually leave this to harden and sit on my face for 10 minutes (no longer) and you can feel it tighten your skin and almost draw out those impurities. Then all you do is rinse it off and pat your face dry very gently with a flannel.
Afterwards, my skin is left feeling very cleansed, tighter and very supple. I have been using this for about 2 months now and the results are the same every time so I know that this is not just a one-trick pony.
I use this about 2-3 times a week (depending on how lazy I am) after I have cleansed my skin at night.
I really highly recommend giving this a try. It's around the £6 mark but sometimes is on offer at Sainsbury's and can be as cheap as about £3-£4 which is a complete steal! This will last you quite a while, so if you are into pampering your skin and trying out masks then definitely go and give this a whirl.
They have other ones too like a brightening mask but I much prefer this Detox Mask so if you're to choose one, I'd go for this one!
