Witch Naturally Clear Anti-Blemish Skin Clearing Primer

Hello blog readers :) I have been trying out a couple of Witch skincare make-up-y products which I will be giving my thoughts on in this blog. First with the primer, and then a post on a Witch BB Beauty Balm will follow.

It is no secret now that I have sensitive skin and for the longest time I have avoided foundation, tinted moisturisers, skin primers etc...
But because I fall more and more into the routine of becoming so infatuated with makeup and skincare everyday, I thought I would take my chances and step out of my comfort zone a bit. I decided on Witch because they are a brand I know works well with my skin and doesn't irritate it at all. And their products all contain some kind of witch hazel-y product that helps to treat the skin.

The general idea of this really drew me in because is preps your skin, smooths everything out, but what stood out the most to me was reading "...creating an invisible shield to help protect your skin from the make up which can cause or aggravate spots." I was sold.
After my moisturiser, I pump less than a pea-size amount (which is more than enough) of the primer onto my fingers, dot it around my face and just smooth it all over. It's as easy as that!
I really do feel like it creates another layer on top of my skin for other makeup to go over smoothly whilst protecting my bare skin.
There is no scent to it, great for sensitive skin, and though I haven't tried lots of primers in my time, I get the impression most of them are silicone based and have a silicone smoothness to it but with this, it still really smooths out your skin but without feeling like silicone (like the Smashbox primer). It's light and really doesn't feel like you're wearing another layer of makeup- providing a fantastic base for any foundation, BB cream or CC cream or whatever else you may use on top.

After applying the primer, I use my Witch BB beauty balm which then goes on like a dream and my face makeup really lasts all day. I am still currently using this combo and still loving it! Such affordable products with such great results :) I'm a happy camper. Read about the BB balm in my next blog post :) keep an eye out for it!

Another great thing is (there seem to be so many!) that it's really quite affordable. 30ml's worth of primer is a lot considering you don't need a whole lot for each application. I found this at my local supermarket so I can only imagine it'll be fairly readily available in drugstores and what not.
At Superdrug it's usually £6.99 but it's on offer right now for £4.66! Bargain! Click here and be magically transported to the Superdrug website and pop this in your shopping basket straight away!
